Entries close this Friday
for the State Solo and Party (ensemble) Championships

Many more community band musicians are entering this year's event; either for personal improvement on their instrument or simply for the fun of it.
There is a "Novice" section that may suit you best as the criteria includes "not having won in the contest before"; even if you have been playing for many years.
Of course there is the "Open" Section which caters for the more highly skilled players and those who
have won before.

So how about giving it a go this year?

  • Brass band instruments
  • Concert band instruments
  • Juniors and Seniors
  • Novice and Open
  • Solos (need to be accompanied)
  • Party/ ensemble(no need to be accompanied)

.... pick a category, register your interest, enter this week.

Then you have until June 14th (Seniors) and 15th (Juniors) to practice up.

Venue: Pembroke School
Audience participation is another way to join in the fun; so come along and enjoy watching others trying their best!!!
