Organised by The South Australian Band Association, participants will work with professional tutors and musicians from South Australia and interstate during four days of intensive rehearsals leading to a public performance. Principal conductors will be Barrie Gott, Dr Kevin Cameron, and Mark Smith.

Band Camp

2008 SABA BAND CAMP

The SA Band Association is pleased to announce a major new developmental initiative for 2008 – the SABA Band Camp. 

The SABA Band Camp, a non-residential camp, will be conducted at Prince Alfred College between Wednesday 16 and Saturday 19 July. The Camp will operate an open age brass and concert bands in the evening.

Conductors for the Band Camp will be Mr Barrie Gott (Qld), Dr Kevin Cameron (SA) and Mr Mark C. Smith (SA). In addition, sectional rehearsals will be led by well known professional musicians.

The Camp activities will culminate in a final public concert on Saturday 19 July at Prince Alfred College.

The SABA Band Camp is supported by Arts SA (through the Health Promotion program), Prince Alfred College, and the SA Band Association.

If you are playing in a Community Brass or Concert Band, then you are eligible and suitable for the SABA inaugural BAND CAMP.

The Band Camp will be held on Wednesday 16th - 19th July at Prince Alfred College, Kent Town.
