Organised by The South Australian Band Association, participants will work with professional tutors and musicians from South Australia and interstate during four days of intensive rehearsals leading to a public performance. Principal conductors will be Barrie Gott, Dr Kevin Cameron, and Mark Smith.

		Band Camp

	2008 SABA BAND CAMP The SA Band Association is pleased to announce a major new developmental initiative for 2008 – the SABA Band Camp. The SABA Band Camp, a non-residential camp, will be conducted at Prince Alfred College between Wednesday 16 and Saturday 19 July. The Camp will operate an open age brass and concert bands in the evening. Conductors for the Band Camp will be Mr Barrie Gott (Qld), Dr Kevin Cameron (SA) and Mr Mark C. Smith (SA). In addition, sectional rehearsals will be led by well known professional musicians. The Camp activities will culminate in a final public concert on Saturday 19 July at Prince Alfred College. The SABA Band Camp is supported by Arts SA (through the Health Promotion program), Prince Alfred College, and the SA Band Association.

	SABA BAND CAMP applications close soon ** Important If you are playing in a Community Brass or Concert Band, then you are eligible and suitable for the SABA inaugural BAND CAMP. (NO AUDITIONS required ) The Band Camp will be held on Wednesday 16^th- 19^thJuly at Prince Alfred College, Kent Town. ***Note*** Due to interest shown at State Solo Competition Application Due Date has been extended So it is not too late to apply! ***Note***** Expert conductors Barrie Gott, Mark C Smith and Dr Kevin Cameron will be working with all the bands throughout the camp. Finale concert will showcase all the youth & adult bands on Sat 19th July. *DISCOUNTS available; SABA member bands' players save $40 A very exciting opportunity to get outstanding musical experience and enjoyment, right here in Adelaide.*


	The SABA Band Camp offers participants of all ages the opportunity of technical and musical skill development and experience under the direction of well known conductors and professional musicians. This is an important developmental opportunity for all musicians involved in banding in South Australia.
