SA Police Rangers Band

Winners of South Australia's A-grade Concert Band Championship (2006 & 2007).

The Police Rangers Band is a part of the Police Rangers youth program that is supported by the South Australia Police. The band receives regular support from members of the S.A. Police Band. The Police Rangers Band performs regularly in feature concerts, community events and street marching displays.

The band aims to provide a service to the community through their musical performances. Band members are trained in the areas of teamwork, leadership and motivation under the guidance of their accredited instructor team.

Entry into this ensemble is by audition only. A minimum standard of Grade 4 (AMEB) is expected, but it is not necessary for prospective members to have sat AMEB exams. Prospective members are encouraged to attend rehearsals (Tuesdays, 6-8 pm) for several weeks before an audition date is set.
